JENNIFER  K.  MARTIN

"I grew up on a farm in Newport, at the foot of Mountain Lake, Virginia, where I studied and observed the ever-changing aspects of nature every day. I could see and sense the frenetic wiggling energy of the underlying activity and reactions of Physics wherever my eyes ventured. My paintings are about this energy as described through three approaches for creating my work. I make paintings by use of my own expressive marks, with my 'Evaporation' process, and by using clay as an alternative support for painting."
